Description
A comforting and hearty meatloaf made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, and a delicious glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients thoroughly, avoiding overmixing.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top for glazing.
- Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
Avoid overcooking to keep the meatloaf juicy. Letting it rest before slicing allows the juices to redistribute.
