Description

  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ⅔ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ⅓ cup chopped crisp bacon
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease your pie dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the thawed shredded hash browns with optional cheddar, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the hash brown mixture into the greased pie dish, creating an even layer for the crust.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, and heavy cream until smooth. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, green onions, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  6. Once the crust is ready, pour the egg mixture evenly over the crust and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
