Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup celery, diced

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the broth by combining chicken, broth, carrots, celery, onion, and pepper; boil then simmer.
  2. Shred the chicken after cooking and return to the pot.
  3. Make the dumpling dough by mixing flour, baking powder, salt, and butter; add milk.
  4. Cook dumplings by dropping dough into simmering broth; cover and cook for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Final touches: taste and adjust seasonings in the broth.
