Description
A heartwarming meal featuring salmon fillets and asparagus in a rich creamy garlic butter sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the salmon fillets, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and thoroughly cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the asparagus. Cook for 3-4 minutes, tossing occasionally until bright green and slightly tender. Remove from skillet and set aside alongside the salmon.
- In the skillet, melt the remaining butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, stirring well. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the salmon and asparagus to the skillet, gently coating them in the sauce.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving warm. Enjoy!
Notes
For best results, avoid overcooking the salmon and asparagus. Fresh salmon gives the best flavor and texture.
