Description
A comforting dish that combines creamy textures with zesty flavors, featuring chicken, pasta, and a bright lemon sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts
- 8 oz pasta (e.g., fettuccine or penne)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet, let rest, and slice into thin strips.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese, mixing until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the pasta on plates, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Substitute chicken with turkey breast or tofu for a lighter option. Use whole-wheat pasta for added nutrition or vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
