Description

A comforting and hearty dish featuring a tender beef chuck roast cooked with French onion soup, onions, and vegetables in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 34 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 cups French onion soup
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • 23 carrots, chopped (optional)
  • Potatoes, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. Prepare the base by slicing onions and mincing garlic.
  3. Add the seasoned roast on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. Pour the French onion soup and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
  5. Add chopped carrots and potatoes if using them.
  6. Sprinkle fresh thyme or rosemary on top if desired.
  7. Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
