Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef stew meat
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef: In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat in a single layer and brown it on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté the vegetables: Add the chopped onion, sliced carrots, chopped celery, and minced garlic to the pot and sauté for about 5 minutes until tender.
  3. Combine and simmer: Return the beef to the pot, add beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and let simmer for about 1 hour.
  4. Add the noodles: Stir in egg noodles, cover the pot, and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until noodles are cooked through.
  5. Serve: Stir and ladle into bowls, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
