- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the beef: In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat in a single layer and brown it on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the vegetables: Add the chopped onion, sliced carrots, chopped celery, and minced garlic to the pot and sauté for about 5 minutes until tender.
- Combine and simmer: Return the beef to the pot, add beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and let simmer for about 1 hour.
- Add the noodles: Stir in egg noodles, cover the pot, and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until noodles are cooked through.
- Serve: Stir and ladle into bowls, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
