Description

Delicious Korean BBQ Beef Tacos blending Asian and Mexican cuisines for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or beef short ribs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Taco shells
  • Cabbage slaw
  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and optional red pepper flakes. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Beef: Add the flank steak or beef short ribs to the bowl, cover, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Grill or Sear the Beef: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the beef for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until desired doneness.
  4. Rest and Slice the Beef: Let the beef rest for 5 minutes, then slice it thinly against the grain.
  5. Assemble the Tacos: Fill taco shells with the sliced beef. Top with cabbage slaw, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds.
