Description

A comforting and savory Korean dish featuring ground beef, sweet and savory sauces, served over warm rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by warming a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef to the hot skillet and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes until browned.
  3. Drain the excess grease from the skillet.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil; mix well.
  5. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Serve the beef over warm cooked rice, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Be careful not to overcook the beef to avoid a dry texture. You can customize the recipe with additional vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli.
