A warm, buttery fish dish that combines flakey halibut fillets with a rich citrusy sauce, perfect for cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 halibut fillets
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat until bubbly.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about one minute.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice, along with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Place the halibut fillets in a baking dish, arranged in a single layer.
  6. Pour the lemon butter garlic sauce evenly over the fillets.
  7. Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve.

Notes

Watch out for overcooking the halibut, check for doneness at 15 minutes. Garlic can burn quickly; sauté just until fragrant.
