Description

A classic comfort food that brings back memories of family dinners, this Old Fashioned Beef Meatloaf is hearty, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and transfer it to a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake for about 1 hour until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  5. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Ensure the meatloaf is not overcooked to retain moisture. Allowing it to rest helps in keeping the juices.
