A comforting family dinner featuring crispy chicken cutlets coated in Parmesan breadcrumbs and served with a rich, creamy garlic sauce.

- 4 thin chicken cutlets
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan (for sauce)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Dredge each piece in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs and Parmesan mixture.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and pan-fry chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Set chicken aside and in the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream, then add grated Parmesan and let simmer until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
Consider using whole wheat breadcrumbs for a healthier option. You can also substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
