Description

A comforting family dinner featuring crispy chicken cutlets coated in Parmesan breadcrumbs and served with a rich, creamy garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 thin chicken cutlets
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan (for sauce)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Dredge each piece in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs and Parmesan mixture.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and pan-fry chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Set chicken aside and in the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Stir in chicken broth and heavy cream, then add grated Parmesan and let simmer until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Consider using whole wheat breadcrumbs for a healthier option. You can also substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
