Description

A rich chocolate tart with a crispy kunafa crust and topped with pistachios, perfect for special occasions and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup kunafa (shredded phyllo dough)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine melted butter with kunafa and press into a tart pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Pour the heavy cream into a saucepan and gently heat until warm.
  5. Add chopped dark chocolate to the warmed cream and stir until melted.
  6. Mix in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  7. Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled kunafa crust.
  8. Sprinkle chopped pistachios on top.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until set.
  10. Slice and serve the tart.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
