- 3–4 lbs halal beef roast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instructions
- Prepare the Slow Cooker by placing the halal beef roast directly in the slow cooker, centered for space.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic around the roast, followed by the sliced carrots and cubed potatoes.
- Pour 2 cups of beef broth over the mixture to keep it moist.
- Season the roast with salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, and rosemary, rubbing the spices into the meat.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours until tender.
- Serve hot, slicing the roast and drizzling with broth over the top.
Notes
Avoid overcooking to prevent dry meat. Add delicate vegetables like peas or green beans in the last hour of cooking.
