- 3–4 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4–6 hamburger buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Season the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, ensuring even coverage.
- Slice the onion and place it in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Lay the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the sliced onions.
- Pour the barbecue sauce over the pork, fully coating it.
- Cover and set the slow cooker to cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks and serve on hamburger buns, adding more barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
Use bone-in pork shoulder for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
