Description

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Form the patties by shaping the ground beef into four equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the skillet.
  3. Add the sliced onions to the same skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft and caramelized.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir to coat, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  6. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, then return the patties to the skillet. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Serve the patties topped with gravy and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
