Description

A wholesome and nutritious bread that combines cottage cheese with whole wheat flour for a high-protein treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, eggs, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Pour in the olive oil and honey (or maple syrup) and mix until incorporated.
  6. Transfer the batter to the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
