Instructions
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and salt. Stir until smooth.
- Add Flour and Yeast: Stir in 2 cups of flour and yeast until well combined.
- Form the Dough: Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the Dough: Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Prepare the Loaves: Punch down dough, divide, roll into rectangles, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Roll and Shape: Roll tightly and place in greased loaf pans.
- Second Rise: Let rise again, covered, until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) during the last minutes of rising.
- Bake the Bread: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
- Cool Before Serving: Allow to cool in pans for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Ensure the milk is warm but not hot when activating the yeast. Optional ingredients can be added based on preference.
