- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish.
- Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onion, milk, ketchup, eggs, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf form and place it in the prepared baking dish.
- Prepare the glaze by combining brown sugar and 1/4 cup of ketchup, then spread it over the meatloaf.
- Bake for about one hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Avoid over-mixing the meat mixture for a lighter texture. Let the meatloaf rest after baking for better slicing.
