- Frosting:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk

- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a medium mixing bowl and set aside.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until well combined.
- Blend in the dry ingredients carefully until just combined.
- Shape the dough into small balls and flatten them slightly on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool the cookies on wire racks.
- Prepare the frosting by creaming together softened butter and powdered sugar, adding milk and vanilla until smooth.
- Frost the cooled cookies and add food coloring if desired.
