- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while you prepare your ingredients.
- Sauté the chopped onion and diced carrots in olive oil over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then season with salt and pepper. Simmer and add the frozen peas for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.
- Transfer the beef mixture into a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve hot.
