- 1 chocolate tart crust
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- White icing or melted white chocolate (for web decoration)
- Plastic spiders (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the crust according to package instructions. Allow to cool completely.
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until hot but not boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped semi-sweet chocolate until melted and smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined and creamy.
- Pour the filling into the cooled tart crust and spread evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for about two hours to set.
- Decorate the top with white icing or melted chocolate in a spider web design.
- Add plastic spiders for decoration and serve chilled.
Notes
For best results, allow the tart to chill for at least two hours before serving.
