Description

Delightful layers of flaky puff pastry filled with savory ham and creamy cheese, perfect for dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar), sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: mustard or other condiments

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets to about 1/8-inch thickness and cut into squares or rectangles.
  3. Take half of the pastry pieces, placing a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each, leaving a small margin for sealing.
  4. Cover each piece with another pastry piece, pressing down the edges to seal and using a fork to crimp them.
  5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, with mustard or other condiments for dipping.
