- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- 8 oz ham, thinly sliced
- 8 oz cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar), sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets to about 1/8-inch thickness and cut into squares or rectangles.
- Take half of the pastry pieces, placing a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each, leaving a small margin for sealing.
- Cover each piece with another pastry piece, pressing down the edges to seal and using a fork to crimp them.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve warm, with mustard or other condiments for dipping.
