Description

A comforting appetizer featuring fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic atop toasted baguette slices, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 Baguette or Italian bread, sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Stir gently and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Arrange the sliced baguette on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  4. Brush each slice generously with olive oil.
  5. Toast the bread in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Spoon the marinated tomato mixture onto each warm slice of bread.
