- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fruit pectin
Instructions
- Mash the strawberries in a large bowl using a potato masher until chunky.
- Add the granulated sugar and mix well, then let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Mix in the lemon juice and fruit pectin, stirring well for about 2 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into clean, freezer-safe jars, leaving about 1/2 inch of headspace.
- Seal the jars tightly and place them in the freezer.
Notes
For easier spreading, warm the jam slightly if needed. The jam can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks after thawing.
