- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of onion soup
- 2 cups shredded cheese (Swiss or Gruyere)

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and season with garlic powder and onion powder. Cook until browned.
- Combine browned beef, caramelized onions, rice, beef broth, and cream of onion soup in a large baking dish.
- Bake covered in the oven for about 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheese over the casserole and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Season with salt and pepper as needed, then serve warm.
