Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the buttermilk, maple syrup, egg, and melted butter in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Spoon the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each mold about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the donuts in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Mix the powdered sugar and maple syrup in a bowl for the glaze.
- Dip the tops of each donut into the glaze and let the excess drip off.
- Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before serving.
