Description

A savory and cheesy chicken dish featuring juicy chicken breasts topped with zesty salsa verde and melty pepper jack cheese, perfect for summer gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create a seasoning mixture.
  3. Brush the seasoning mixture generously over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  4. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Top each chicken breast with salsa verde and shredded pepper jack cheese in the last few minutes of grilling.
  6. Cover the grill to let the cheese melt beautifully, then remove and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, consider marinating the chicken for a few hours prior to grilling. Serve with light salads, grilled vegetables, or rice.
