- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup huckleberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit until frothy.
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Add melted butter and egg to the flour mixture, then pour in the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and fill with butter, sugar, cinnamon, and huckleberries.
- Form the rolls by rolling tightly and cutting into pieces.
- Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
