Description

A refreshing blend of fresh blueberries and zesty lemon juice, perfect for warm days and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 cups sparkling water
  • Ice
  • Lemon slices and blueberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the fresh blueberries, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Take the saucepan off the heat and strain the syrup into a bowl or measuring cup using a fine mesh strainer.
  4. Allow the syrup to cool down to room temperature.
  5. Combine the cooled blueberry syrup with the freshly squeezed lemon juice in a large pitcher.
  6. Fill glasses with ice and pour the blueberry lemonade mixture over the ice, filling about two-thirds full.
  7. Top each glass with sparkling water.
  8. Garnish each glass with lemon slices and additional blueberries before serving.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness to your liking or try adding fresh herbs for an extra twist.
