Instructions
- Combine the apple cider, cinnamon stick, whole cloves, star anise, and orange slices in a large pot. If desired, add the brown sugar.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a gentle simmer.
- Steep the cider by reducing the heat to low and letting it steep for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Strain the cider into mugs or a serving pitcher, discarding the spices. Serve warm and enjoy!
