Description

Delightful cinnamon rolls infused with fresh strawberries, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining the warmed milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar; let it sit until frothy.
  2. Mix the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and egg in a large bowl. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture once frothy.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl, covered, for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon; roll out the dough and sprinkle this mixture and the sliced strawberries over it.
  6. Shape the rolls by tightly rolling the dough and slicing it into 1-inch pieces; place in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, then drizzle with the glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

For extra fluffiness, sift the flour before use. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days or refrigerate for a week.
