Description

A sweet, cozy dessert made with fresh peaches and a buttery cobbler topping.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place a stick of butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and melt in the oven.
  3. Mix together flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk to form a thin batter.
  4. Pour the batter over the melted butter—do not stir.
  5. Top with sliced peaches mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
