- 4 cups peaches, sliced
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place a stick of butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and melt in the oven.
- Mix together flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk to form a thin batter.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter—do not stir.
- Top with sliced peaches mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
