Description

A delightful layered dessert combining a salty-sweet pretzel crust, creamy filling, and a luscious strawberry topping, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes and allow to cool completely.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  3. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water, stirring until dissolved. Add cold water and gently stir in the sliced strawberries. Pour this mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Also, refrigerate for at least two hours to allow flavors to meld and layers to set.
