Ingredients

- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Corn or flour tortillas
- Toppings: sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, and shredded cabbage
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the shrimp, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
- Squeeze lime juice over the cooked shrimp and add chopped cilantro; mix well.
- Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
- Assemble tacos by placing shrimp mixture onto each tortilla and topping with avocado, tomatoes, and cabbage. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a different protein, you can substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu. Keep an eye on the shrimp while cooking to avoid overcooking.
