- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Pour in the melted butter, add the eggs, and stir in the vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently stir in the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
- Using a tablespoon, drop dollops of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
