Description

A warm, delicious meal made quickly, perfect for busy weeknights with ground turkey, vegetables, and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Cook the ground turkey in the skillet until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Mix in the diced bell pepper and can of diced tomatoes, then sprinkle with chili powder and cumin.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until flavors meld.
  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
