Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Start by placing the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Season the Pork: Rub the pork shoulder with paprika, salt, and black pepper, then place it on top of the onions and garlic.
  3. Add BBQ Sauce: Pour the BBQ sauce over the seasoned pork, making sure it’s well coated.
  4. Set the Slow Cooker: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
  5. Shred and Combine: Once cooked, shred the pork with forks and mix it with the sauce in the slow cooker.
  6. Assemble the Sandwich: Serve the pulled pork on buns and top with coleslaw if desired.
