Description

A comforting side dish of sweet and savory slow-cooked baby carrots glazed with maple syrup and cinnamon.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baby carrots by washing them under cold water and draining them well.
  2. Mix together the maple syrup, butter, salt, pepper, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  3. Coat the carrots with the maple mixture in the slow cooker, tossing gently.
  4. Cook on low for 240-300 minutes or on high for 120-180 minutes until tender.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.
