- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare ungreased baking sheets.
- Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
- Cream together the butter, sugar, and lemon zest in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the egg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract, beating until well blended.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto prepared pans, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden around the edges.
- Cool on wire racks before frosting.
- Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice for frosting and spread on cooled cookies.
