Description

A refreshing and sweet beverage that captures the essence of summer with ripe peaches and robust black tea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup additional water (for peach syrup)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Simmer the sliced peaches in 1 cup of water, bringing to a boil and then simmering for about 10 minutes.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to collect the peach syrup.
  3. Brew the black tea by boiling 4 cups of water, adding tea bags, and steeping for 5 minutes.
  4. Sweeten the tea by removing tea bags and stirring in the sugar until dissolved.
  5. Combine the cooled tea with the peach syrup and an additional cup of water, stirring well.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with extra peach slices if desired.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the peaches and steeping the tea too long for the best flavor.
