- 2 lbs beef stew meat
- 4 cups beef broth
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 4 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the beef stew meat, browning it on all sides.
- Transfer to Slow Cooker: Once browned, transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
- Prepare Vegetables: Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, carrots, and diced potatoes to the slow cooker on top of the beef.
- Add Broth and Seasoning: Pour in the beef broth and add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
- Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or high for 4 to 5 hours.
- Adjust and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
