Description

A comforting beef stew that combines tender beef, hearty potatoes, and vibrant carrots, cooked slowly to create deep, rich flavors.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the beef stew meat, browning it on all sides.
  2. Transfer to Slow Cooker: Once browned, transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
  3. Prepare Vegetables: Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, carrots, and diced potatoes to the slow cooker on top of the beef.
  4. Add Broth and Seasoning: Pour in the beef broth and add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
  5. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or high for 4 to 5 hours.
  6. Adjust and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
