Description

A delightful combination of rich chocolate, crunchy pecans, and gooey caramel, these brownies are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl and gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, drizzle with half of the caramel sauce, then pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the caramel.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the batter and check for doneness a few minutes before the maximum baking time.
