Description

A warm and smoky sauce bursting with flavor, perfect for enchiladas, tacos, and more.


Ingredients

  • 1 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Water, as needed

Instructions

  1. Blend the chipotle peppers, tomato sauce, garlic, onion, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, and salt until smooth.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and adjust the consistency with water.
  3. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve immediately or cool and store in an airtight container.
